• Arriving soon: A history of speculation and/or project suspensions, that include: ballistic missile testing, two nuclear power plant proposals; one defunct uranium milling plant, followed by two new uranium processing plant proposals; one defunct oil refinery, folowed by two proposals for new oil refineries; proposals to process bitumen and kerogen from the Tavaputs Plateau; a lithium extraction company, a proposed inland port authority; a proposed retirement community, and; procuring water rights to sell and transer wet water to all these speculative projects for the two affected counties, namely Grand and Emery.
